NCAA gymnasts work extremely hard to perform the way they do on the competition floor. They spend countless hours in the gym to stay in top shape and perfect their routines. And on top of their physical training, they are also full time college students, working just as hard in the classroom. We decided to take a look at the top teams in NCAA at the moment and what the most popular majors are among their gymnasts. This is based on the top ten ranked teams as of this week and those gymnasts who have declared their major.

#1: Kinesiology, Physiology & Exercise Science

Perhaps it's not that surprising, but the most popular majors by far are those that study human movement and exercise. LSU has the most gymnasts studying this subject - six of them are majoring in Kinesiology, including Jessica Savona and Sydney Ewing. Arkansas has four gymnasts also studying Kinesiology, while Florida has three studying Applied Physiology & Kinesiology, and Oklahoma has three studying Health & Exercise Science.

#2: Social Sciences - Sociology, Psychology, Human Development, Education

The second most popular subject area is the social sciences such as psychology and sociology. Sociology comes out on top, with four gymnasts from UCLA majoring in the subject, including Sadiqua Bynum and Peng Peng Lee. Psychology is also popular major of choice with gymnasts from UCLA, Boise State, Auburn, Arkansas and Alabama. Three gymnasts from Oklahoma are majoring in Human Relations, including McKenzie Wofford and Maile'ana Kanewa.

#3: Engineering, Science, & Math

The areas of Engineering, Science and Math come in #3 on our list. Five gymnasts have declared Engineering majors, including Keely McNeer from Alabama (Chemical Engineering) and Kelsey Kopec from Auburn (Mechanical Engineering). Biology, Chemistry, and Biochemistry also made the list, and freshman Ari Guerra from Alabama is majoring in math.

#4: Business & Economics

Three gymnasts from Oklahoma are majoring in Business subject areas. Senior Haley Scaman is majoring in Business, while her classmate Nicole Turner is majoring in Administrative Leadership, and Kara Lovan is majoring in Actuarial Science. There are also a few gymnasts majoring in very specific business areas. Senior Keara Glover from Arkansas is majoring in Apparel Merchandising & Product Development, and Kait Kluz from Auburn is majoring in Hotel & Restaurant Management.

#5: Communications

Under this category, we include Telecommunications, Communications, and Mass Communications majors. Three gymnasts from Florida are majoring in Telecommunications - Kennedy Baker and Morgan Frazier are both majoring in Telecommunications - News, while Bridget Sloan is majoring in Telecommunications - Media & Society. LSU has four gymnasts majoring in Mass Communications, including freshmen Lexie Priessman, McKenna Kelley, and Julianna Cannamela.

#6: Sports Management & Administration

Next on our list is Sports Management and Sports Administration. Five gymnasts from Oklahoma and Arkansas are majoring in Sports Management, including Keeley Kmieciak and Paige Zaziski. Ashleigh Gnat, Randii Wyrick and Shae Zamardi from LSU are all majoring in Sports Administration.

#7: Medical Sciences

The last category on our list is Medical Sciences, which includes Biomedical Science, Pre-Med, Pre-Dental, Pre-Vet, and Nursing. Two gymnasts from Auburn are currently majoring in Pre-Med, Kennedy Finister and Lucia Scaglione, while Sarah Garcia and Blake Jones are majoring in Biomedical Science.
