Behind The Scenes of the Kellogg's Tour!

Call time is always four hours before the start of the show. We all walk straight to find the locker rooms and drop our bags. In the locker rooms, all the cast member costumes are hung up by name. Then, I pull out all the makeup and hair items needed for show.

Some of the cast will go straight to the training room to get treatment. After getting a feel for the venue, the cast begins to gather on the main floor to stretch and start warming up. Mary and John, who are the choreographers of the show, let the cast know what changes need to be made in any of the numbers. Once the kinks are worked out, the athletes get to go on the apparatus to personally work on different skills.

We have finished six shows, and I must say every one of them have required some major change. Mary and I have laughed about this and decided we might as well just plan on the unexpected for every show. If someone is sick or has an injury, others have to step up. When changes are made it’s not only the athletes that have to adjust but also music and lighting.

Once all the warming up and changes are made the cast eats a light meal while others may have interviews or prepare for the AT&T Chalk Talk. Eventually, everyone goes back to the locker room to get dressed and put on makeup. This is usually a fun time for all. Loud music is playing, pictures are taken and the excitement is building as they prepare to head for the start of the show.

John Macready always gathers the cast two minutes before the show begins for a fun, loud and crazy cheer.

Break a leg! Next up, Vegas!
