Behind The Black Curtain!

Last weekend we hit four stops on the Tour: Las Vegas, Sacramento, Portland and Seattle. One thing is for sure, the sunny days and warm weather is changing quickly as we head north. Another exciting change in the schedule is the cast being allowed to fly home for a few days. You could see the thrill on their faces as the days grew closer to Sunday knowing they all got to catch a flight out after the Seattle show.

The rest of us stayed the course and rode on the bus through Boise to Utah. A few of us staff were treated to a nice lunch at Cheesecake Factory and a spa day in downtown Boise.

I decided to take some photos during the Seattle show to let you all see what goes on behind the curtain. If you have seen the show, you may have noticed how most of the cast run through a big black curtain to enter and exit the arena. The stage manager, Chung, is the one who shouts out who is next and how much time they have before each number. He has this great little portable desk area that is also near the curtain. Chung has a drawer in the desk that contains Gummy Bears which definitely are a hot item. My favorite treats are the bulk red vines. The staff also loves his espresso coffee maker for those fourth show days when we are really tired.

During intermission a few of us decided to have some fun behind the curtain on the pommel horse. Not the most graceful of poses, but it did pass the time quickly. Mika, the personal fitness trainer and I tried some holds as well as the dancers in the show. Hope you get a good laugh out of this.
