Key Elite Routines to Watch at the 2013 WOGA Classic
We've all been deprived of elite gymnastics competition since the thrilling London Olympic Games so I know many of you share in my excitement to sit back and enjoy the WOGA Classic International Elite session this Saturday! The 6:30pm International Elite Session boasts a strong field as always.

Gymnastike will be providing a live stream of every single elite routine this Saturday. Here are some of the key routines you will not want to miss!

Katelyn Ohashi - BEAM

Ohashi owns this event. Since 2011, she's carried one of the top D scores in the world with rarely seen skills like a piked full in dismount and a two back handspring to back layout full flight series. Finally, she has moved up to the senior elite level and is eligible for World Championship competition! Ohashi dominated beam at last year's WOGA Classic scoring a massive 15.70! (7.0 difficulty/8.70 execution). Ohashi will also be unveiling a new floor routine for her first year as a senior. She returns to her home meet as the defending all around champion, posting the top all around score for both juniors and seniors in 2012.

Kennedy Baker - BARS

Baker stunned the gymnastics world last season by finishing 8th all around at the 2012 Olympic Trials as a first year senior! She suffered a leg injury over the fall that resulted in more time on bars with coach Chris Burdette. Baker was already one of the country's top gymnasts on the event and even won the 2009 U.S. Junior National Bar title, and she has a few upgraded releases for 2013.

Laurie Hernandez - FLOOR

This 12-year-old dynamo is an absolute joy to watch on floor! Her choreography is intriguing and she's an excellent dancer. It's a routine that will make you smile.

Mariya Livchikova - BEAM

Have you ever seen a front aerial+front tuck series on beam? This elegant Ukrainian performs this unique combination with ease and you will not want to miss it! Also be sure to tune in for her floor routine where she is a European Championships event finalist.

Madison Kocian - BARS

We've seen very little of this promising young gymnast since 2010 due to injuries. While being a balanced all around, Kocian has always excelled on uneven bars. She won the WOGA Classic junior bar title last year with a 15.10. This will be Kocian's first year as a senior elite and she hopes to regain her place on the U.S. National Team.

Peyton Ernst - BEAM

Coach Kim Zmeskal told us that out of her Dream Team, Ernst has picked up the most gymnastics since we last saw her at the Visa Championships. She's always been lovely to watch on beam, but with a few changes to her routine composition and a new, incredible flight series, Ernst has a new-found confidence on the event. She is a first year senior with a great shot at the U.S. National Team in 2013. She also has a few upgraded tumbling passes on floor including a double layout.

Nica Hults - BEAM

She's the 2011 US Classic Beam Champion with a few upgrades for the 2013 season. She is just gorgeous on this event.

Ariana Guerra - FLOOR

Ariana will be one of the most powerful gymnasts in the field. When we visited Texas Dreams in November, she was training a full twisting double layout with ease. The skill is now valued as an H in the 2013 code of points!

Ellie Downie - FLOOR

You'll want to catch Ellie on her favorite event, floor exercise. She's a powerful tumbler and a promising young talent for Team GB. You likely recognize her name - she's the younger gymnast of British World and Olympic gymnast Rebecca Downie.

Irina Alexeeva - BEAM

She will be the youngest competitor in the meet and will not turn senior elite until 2018. She's exquisite on beam and won the 2012 Texas Level 9 State beam title with a 9.925! She throws a difficulty-packed routine including a back handspring to two layout step outs and an onodi+front aerial+sheep jump.

Gymnastike will be streaming every elite routine live from the 2013 WOGA Classic! You can watch the routines mentioned above live beginning at 6:30pm CST on Saturday, February 16th. There will be two also be two full sessions of optional elite qualifiers. We will be streaming both elite qualifier sessions live at 8:30am and 12:30pm CST.
