U.S. 2015 World Championships Team Announced

The U.S. 2015 World Championships Team has has officially been announced via USAG. The team was named at the Karolyi Ranch, where the athletes have been participating in a selection camp since Oct. 6th.
Representing Team USA in Glasgow will be:
Simone Biles
Gabby Douglas
Brenna Dowell
Madison Kocian
Maggie Nichols
Aly Raisman
MyKayla Skinner
Six of these athletes will be competing, and one will be named a traveling alternate. Non-traveling alternates will be Bailie Key and Alyssa Baumann.
The U.S. has not lost a Worlds team competition since Russia won in 2010, and will surely be the favorite to take the gold in Glasgow. Biles was crowned the all-around champion in both 2013 and 2014, and will be looking to defend her title for the third year.
The World Championships will be held from October 23rd to November 1st, with podium training from Oct. 19th through the 22nd. The top eight teams advance to the Olympics, and the teams ranked ninth to 16th advance to the Olympic Test Event, where four more teams will qualify.We will be bringing you coverage straight from the streets of Glasgow, so stay tuned for an exciting 2015 World Championships.
