U.S. Men's Lineup For Pan Ams Announced

The artistic gymnastics portion of the 2015 Pan Am Games will commence with the men’s competition on Saturday July 11 in Toronto, Canada at the Toronto Coliseum. 

The U.S. men compete at 2:30 p.m. ET in the first of two subdivisions in the team finals, which also serve as qualification to the all-around and individual event finals. Other countries in the first subdivision include Brazil, Canada, Colombia and Puerto Rico in the team competition, with individual athletes from Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, and Trinidad and Tobago.

The U.S. Pan American Men’s Gymnastics Team includes:
Marvin Kimble of Milwaukee, Wis./U.S. Olympic Training Center
Steven Legendre of Norman, Okla./Team Hilton (University of Oklahoma)
Sam Mikulak of Newport Coast, Calif./Team Hilton (USOTC)
Paul Ruggeri of Manlius, N.Y./Team Hilton (USOTC)
Donnell Whittenburg of Baltimore, Md./Team Hilton (USOTC)

The format is four gymnasts compete on each apparatus, with three scores counting toward the team score. The USA starts on the floor exercise, and the line-up is below via USA Gym:

Floor exercise: Whittenburg, Legendre, Ruggeri, Mikulak
Pommel horse: Legendre, Whittenburg, Kimble, Mikulak
Still rings: Legendre, Kimble, Mikulak, Whittenburg
Vault: Ruggeri, Legendre, Mikulak, Whittenburg
Parallel bars: Kimble, Ruggeri, Mikulak, Whittenburg
Horizontal bar: Kimble, Ruggeri, Whittenburg, Mikulak
