A Guide to Named Acrobatic Skills on Beam
This week, we are delving into the Code of Points once again, taking a look at skills that have been named for elite gymnasts in the current code. As a reminder, gymnasts need to successfully compete the skill at a major international competition (World Championships or Olympic Games) in order to have the skill officially named for them. For this piece, we are focusing specifically on the balance beam and have provided a summary of named acrobatic skills, including mounts, starting with those that include hand support and then following with saltos.
