Reigning Senior Level 10 JO Champions
With the 2015 JO National Championship right around the corner, let’s take a look at last year’s winners. The senior winners from last year include four very talented gymnasts that have had a very successful year. Two of last year’s winners have now moved on the NCAA gymnastics. 

 
Senior A 
Olivia Karas is a top level 10 gymnast who trains at IK Gymnastics in Chicago, Illinois, coached by Irina Kudina and Ievgenii and Olesia Bogonosiuk. Karas is the reigning JO National champion in the senior A division and will be looking to defend her title next weekend. At last year’s JO Nationals, Karas posted a huge 9.925 on vault, 9.65 on bars, 9.40 on beam, 9.425 on floor and 38.40 all-around. Along with winning the all-around, she also won vault and bars.

Karas also qualified for the Nastia Liukin Cup the past two years and placed sixth all-around in 2014 and third all-around in 2015. Karas is a senior and will join the University of Michigan team in the fall.

Senior B
Alicia Boren is the reigning JO Natioanl champion in the senior B division from North Stars. Boren is from region 7 and is coached by Tony Gehman, Ashley Miller and Ivan Taskov. At last year’s Nationals Boren scored an impressive 9.90 on vault, 9.40 on bars, 9.725 on beam, 9.675 on floor and 38.70 all-around. Boren won vault, beam, floor and all-around titles last year.

In 2015, Boren qualified to the Nastia Liukin Cup placing first on vault, beam and floor and fifth all-around. Boren had the highest qualifying score at Regionals with a huge 39.30. She will look to use that momentum at Nationals to defend her title. Boren will join the University of Florida next fall to help them defend their National Championship. 

Senior C
Grace Williams is the reigning JO National champion in the senior C division from Gedderts’ Twistar. In 2014 Williams was the region 5 champion coached by John Geddert and Kathryn Geddert. She won nationals with a strong all-around score of 38.725, 9.75 on vault, 9.75 on bars, 9.625 on beam and 9.60 on floor. Along with winning the all-around Williams won the bars title. Williams graduated high school in 2014 and transition to the University of Nebraska.

In 2015, Williams had a very successful season at Nebraska and was a big contributor for the Corn Huskers. Williams has set impressive career highs already with a 9.90 on vault, 9.90 on bars, 9.925 on beam, 9.90 on floor and 39.375 all-around. Nebraska qualified for the 2015 NCAA Championships and Williams competed on bars, beam and floor for the team. 
 


Senior D
The reigning JO National champion in the senior D division is Taylor Harrison from World Class where she was coached by her mother Tami Harrison. Last year Harrison posted a 9.80 on vault, 9.675 on bars, 9.525 on beam, and a 9.475 on floor for a 38.475 all-around. Harrison graduated high school in 2014 and joined the team Ohio State University.

In 2015, Harrison competed for the Buckeyes and had a great freshman year. Harrison competed on all four events her freshman year setting great career highs already. Harrison has a career high of 9.90 on vault, 9.75 on bars, 9.90 on beam, 9.85 on floor and 39.30 all-around. She topped her freshman season off by qualifying as an individual for the 2015 NCAA Championships where she finished 27th all-around.
