Polina Shchennikova Commits To University of Michigan
Elite gymnast Polina Shchennikova has committed to the University of Michigan, she announced today on social media. Shchennikova trains at TIGAR in Wheat Ridge, CO and is coached by her parents Alex & Katia Shchennikova.

Shchennikova was on the U.S. Junior National Team 2012 to 2014 but missed competing in 2014 due to injury. Her last major competition was at the 2013 P&G Championships where she placed third on bars and eighth all-around. Shchennikova was scheduled to compete at this year's WOGA Classic but withdrew last minute. She attended the training session and you can watch her train bars here.

Known for her artistry and gorgeous lines, Shchennikova is lovely to watch on every single event. However, she especially shines on bars where swinging seems to come naturally to her, and is also her favorite event.

Watch her bar routine from the 2013 P&G Championships below:

Shchennikova's sister Alyonna Shchennikova is also an elite gymnast and competed at last year's P&G Championships.
