Freshmen Impact Teams This Season
The 2015 NCAA season was an exciting and successful season. Many teams were given a boost by their incoming freshman. Take a look at a few of the top freshmen this season, and their impact on their  teams. Please note, this list is by no means an exhaustive list given all the talented freshman. 
 
Elizabeth Price (Stanford)
Elizabeth Price came up big when Stanford needed her the most, at the NCAA Championships. Price competed in the all-around for the first time in her career at the Super Six, posting an impressive 39.675. During the Super Six, Price added beam to her repertoire for the first time and hit a beautiful routine finishing with an impressive double pike, to score a 9.90. Price also competed in just her second floor routine of the year, scoring a 9.90. Price continued her success during event finals winning the vault title with a 9.9333 and finished fifth on bars with a 9.90. Price was named Special Performer of the Year within the Pac 12 this season.

Brenna Dowell (Oklahoma)
Brenna Dowell was one of the most anticipated freshmen to watch this season, and she did not disappoint. Dowell posted 23 scores of 9.9 or higher this season for the Sooners (vault, bars, floor). Dowell posted her first career perfect 10 on bars with her difficult routine. Dowell remained impressive throughout the post season, finishing second on floor during event finals posting a 9.950. Dowell became an All-American on bars and floor. Dowell was named Newcomer of the Year in the Big 12.  
 
Brianna Brown (Michigan)
Brianna Brown came into Michigan and made an immediate impact. Brown competed in the all-around in every meet this season for the Wolverines. Brown went an impressive 51/52 routines this season, only missing one beam routine. Brown was named co-freshman of the year in the Big Ten. Brown finished the season ranked 14th in the all-around with a season high of 39.55. Brown posted a career high of 9.95 on bars this season.  

Kari Lee (Utah)  
Kari Lee came into Utah with a very talented freshmen class and made an immediate impact. Lee competed consistently on three events this season for the Utes (vault, beam, floor). Lee posted a 9.9+ on all three events this season. Lee was impressive in the Super Six helping the Utes to a second place finish with a 9.925 on vault and 9.875 on beam and floor. Lee qualified to event finals on vault and floor where she finished fifth on vault with a 9.875 and scored a 9.6125 on floor. 
 
Alex McMurtry (Florida)
McMurtry started the season off with a bang scoring a 10.0 in just her second vault of her career. She did not let down as she was consistent on three events for the Gators all season long (vault, bars, beam). McMurtry hit the final routine of Super Six when her team needed her to most to seal the deal of their third straight championship. McMurtry qualified to event finals on beam where she posted a strong 9.8250. McMurtry finished the season ranked No. 1 on vault with a 9.939 average.

Brannan competed on three events this season for the Crimson Tide (vault, bars, floor). Brannon posted a 9.90 or better on all three events. She helped her team to the Super Six while competing on vault (9.875) and floor (9.90). In the Super Six Brannon was also consistent on vault and floor posting 9.8+ on both events. Brannan impressed this season with her consistency and power for the Crimson Tide. Brannon was in and out of the lineup on three events this season (vault, bars, floor). 
 
Williams was a standout in the Pac 12 this season for the Cal Bears. Williams was rewarded by being named Pac 12 freshman of the year. Cal had one of their best seasons and that was due in large part to the addition of Williams. She competed in all-around 11 times this season, ranked 10th in the nation with a season high of 39.70. Williams scored a perfect 10 twice this season on vault. Williams qualified to nationals as an individual qualifier where she posted a 39.225 to represent the Bears. Williams finished the season ranked No. 3 on vault with a 9.915 average, No. 10 in the all-around with 39.322 and No. 4 on floor with a 9.925 average.
