With the 2015 NCAA Championships in the books, let’s take a look at a few stellar seniors who finished their careers. Congratulations to all the seniors who finished up their career this year! Please note, this list is by no means an exhaustive list given all the talented seniors.

Let us know in the comments below which senior gymnast you will miss the most!

Kytra Hunter- Florida
Kytra Hunter will be remembered as one of the most talent gymnasts in the NCAA. Hunter was a leader for the Gators in all four years, especially this season as a senior. Hunter caped off her career by helping her team win a third straight National Championship. At the 2015 NCAA Championships, Hunter also was crowned the all-around champion with a 39.60 and floor champion with a 9.9625. Hunter was also the 2012 all-around champion and vault champion as a freshman. Hunter has set the record of the most 10.0s in Florida program history. Hunter was also voted the 2015 SEC Gymnast of the Year. Congrats to Kytra Hunter on an excellent career!

Coach Rhona Fahen on seeing Hunter perform for the last time:
“It’s really emotional. I think we’re so exhausted, physically and mentally. We just really tried to enjoy today. Kytra is leaving a huge hole, which is want everyone would want, someone that fills that. And you can’t replace that, but we’re going to have to.”

Samantha Peszek went out with a bang at the 2015 NCAA Championships to finish out a stellar college career. Peszek came into UCLA with a very impressive resume already and she continued that success as a collegiate gymnast. As a freshman Peszek was the 2011 NCAA Beam Champion with a 9.90. Peszek sat out the 2013 season with a torn Achilles, but came back strong in 2014. Peszek decided to come back for a fifth year to finish out her career in 2015. Peszek scored her first career perfect 10 on bars as a junior in 2014. As a fifth year senior Peszek became the 2015 NCAA all-around champion with a 30.60 and beam champion with a 9.95. Peszek will be remembered as another outstanding NCAA gymnast, but has also been called the best beam worker in history. Congratulations to Peszek on an incredible career!

Coach Kondos Field on seeing Peszek perform for the last time:
“Student-athletes from the ages of 18 to 22- or 23-years-old grow up like 10 years in those four years. You go through so much with them. Not just to have a four-year student athlete, but to have a five year athlete and someone who came back not for gymnastics. She loves gymnastics, but I told her she didn’t have to do one more competition to leave a legacy in this sport and at UCLA. She needed to come back to learn to be a leader of people, and not just have them follow her, but to walk with them. She’s always been a great example, but she’s had to learn to walk with them. When you see someone, a young person like that, to see them transform like that, it’s like, we have the greatest jobs in the world."

Georgia Dabritz
- Utah
Georiga Dabrtitz has become known as “No Grips Dabritz” to the gymnastics community. Dabritz has had a very successful career at the University of Utah and her senior season was one of her bests. Dabritz became an all-around this season, adding beam to her repertoire. As a senior Dabritz led her team back to the Super Six and a strong 2nd place team finish, just .05 shy of first place. Dabrtiz added the cherry on top at the 2015 NCAA Championships by becoming the NCAA Bars Champion scoring a near perfect 9.9625. “No Grips Dabritz” scored an impressive 10.0 on bars 5 times this season, including two at the NCAA Championships. Dabritz has decided to stay a Ute next year as the team manager. Congratulations to Dabritz on an excellent career!

Assistant Coach Tom Farden on seeing Georgia Dabritz perform for the last time:
“I was ecstatic. I know the intricacies of her routine, and so I know when each release came or each handstand came that she was building for a great set. As she landed that dismount it was surreal because it was for one thing probably the last time we get to bank on a 9.9, 9.9, 9.9 at the end of our lineup. The other thing is that she saved us a lot of money on grips, so we’ll miss her.”

Rheagan Courville is one of the most decorated gymnasts in LSU history. Courville has proven throughout her career that she is a very powerful and consistent competitor. At the 2015 NCAA Championships Courville placed fifth on bars during event finals with a 9.90. Courville and the Tigers experienced heart break not qualifying to the Super Six this season following a third place finish last season. Courville was the 2013 and 2014 NCAA Vault Champion.
