Get to know Florida Gator Kytra Hunter in this week's Friday Focus. Hunter is a senior from Frederick, Maryland who has had an outstanding NCAA career. As a club gymnast, she was on the U.S. Senior National Team for two years and competed internationally multiple times. She was named the World Championship team alternate in 2009 and 2010. She continued her success in NCAA where she helped Florida win the program's first NCAA title in 2013 as well as their second in 2014. Hunter was named this year's SEC Gymnast of the Year.

 
What is your favorite memory as a gymnast so far? 
Winning NCAAs in 2013
 
If you weren’t doing gymnastics what would you be doing?
Being a business woman in a corporation. Dream job.
 
If you had a day off from practice how would you spend your free time? 
Doing something that requires the outdoors and adventures.
 
What is your ideal pre-competition meal?
Smoothie (strawberry/banana) or greek yogurt with blueberries and walnuts.
 
Describe your pre-competition routine.
26-minute nap and music while getting ready. At night I dream about my routines and the meet we are at.
 
In ten years, where do you see yourself and what will you be doing?
Being a business woman.
 
Which gymnast do you admire most?
Courtney Kupets: teammate growing up and I’ve always looked up to her since she’s been in the gym with me and still to this day!

 
How do you recover after a hard workout in the gym? 
Ice tank bath and foam roll.
 
Pick one word to describe your attitude/personality in the gym.
Aggressive
 
If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
Give back to my parents and those who are less fortunate.
 
What is your biggest fear?
Running out of time and disappointing those around me.
 
What motivates you to work hard in and out of the gym?
Success!!
 
Besides gymnastics, what is your favorite sport to watch/play?
Basketball and football
 
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Sushi :) (has to be spicy!)
