RECAP: No.10 Stanford defeats San Jose State
No. 10 Stanford got the rough start redemption they were looking for as they decisively defeated the San Jose State Spartans 196.275 to 193.175.

This was the second time in only 5 days these teams faced each other. In their last meeting at the NorCal Classic on Sunday, January 4, the Spartans outscored The Card 194.050 to 193.450, due in large part to the fact that Stanford was only able to put five gymnasts on each event.

But, that wasn’t the way it went tonight. Not only did Stanford have six gymnasts in the lineup on each event, they were resilient enough to not have to count a fall in tonight’s meet despite mishaps on every event.

Stanford swept the event titles with Elizabeth Price walking away with both the vault (9.850) and uneven bar titles (9.925). Ivana Hong earned the highest score on beam with a 9.90, and Pauline Hanset was the top floor performer with a 9.875.  Cami Guyer of San Jose State captured the all-around title with a 39.050.
