10 Vaults You Can't Miss in 2015
With college gymnastics season right around the corner, let’s look at the top 10 vaults Gymnastike is excited to see this season. These vaults provide great height, power and distance, topped off with a STUCK landing! Let us know whose vault you are looking forward to seeing! 
 
Kytra Hunter- (Florida- Senior) 
Senior Kytra Hunter has proven herself to be a strong and consistent vaulter.  Hunter won the 2012 Vault National Title.  Hunter performs a strong yurchenko 1.5 with great form, distance and landing.  She has recorded a 10.0 on vault two times in her career.  Could we see another 10 this season?! 
 
 

Brenna Dowell-
 (Oklahoma- Freshman) 
We are looking forward to seeing Brenna Dowell’s yurchenko 1.5 this season.  Dowell comes in with great difficulty from elite gymnastics, however will still perform a 1.5 this season.  Her vault shows great height and distance. 
 


Kayla Williams-
(Alabama- Senior)
Kayla Williams is coming back strong after an ACL tear last season.  Her preseason vaults show no effect from her injury.  Williams yurchenko 1.5 is consistent, powerful and topped off with a great landing.  We look forward to seeing her come back strong on vault in her senior year! 
 

Alex McMurtry
- (Florida- Freshman)
Freshman Alex McMurtry is showing some great vaults this preseason.  McMurtry has a beautiful yurchenko full with huge height and a flare out!  We look forward to watching this freshman on vault this season. 
 
 


Rheagan Courville- 
(LSU- Senior)
Rheagan Courville is the defending NCAA Vault Champion.  Courville has been amazing the judges with a floating yurchenko full throughout her career.  Courville is known for great distance and a flared out landing.  We look forward to seeing this standout vault for one last year. 
 


Ashleigh Gnat
- (LSU- Sophomore)
Ashleigh Gnat is training a double twisting yurchenko!  Gnat has performed a yurchenko 1.5 for LSU and has had great success.  Her DTY looks great in intrasquads and we are excited to see Gnat perform this vault this season! See her DTY here! (First vault of the video) 
 
Tory Wilson- (Utah- Senior)
Tory Wilson has spent 11 weeks ranked #1 on vault in the nation.  Wilson provides consistency and power in her yurchenko full.  Wilson finished 2nd during vault finals last season.  Wilson has recorded a 10.0 on vault in her career. We look forward to seeing her consistent vault again this season.

Ali Jackson- 
(Oklahoma- Freshman)
Incoming freshman Ali Jackson is looking to continue her vault dominance for Oklahoma.  Jackson is a three-time JO national champion on vault (2011, 2012 and 2013).  A.J. is impressing fans already with her powerful yurchenko 1.5 seen in preseason.  We look forward to seeing this young gymnast “wow” us with her vaults this season. 



Brandie Jay- (Georgia- Junior)  
Junior Brandie Jay is training a new vault.  Jay is training a 1/2 on front pike off.  She has shown amazing height and power on this vault.  Jay is also continuing to train her yurchenko 1.5.  We can’t wait to see which vault she performs this year!



Napualani Hall
- (UCLA-Freshman) 
Freshman Napualani Hall comes into UCLA as one of the best vaulters in the country.  Hall will provide more depth for the Bruins on vault which Miss Val is excited about.  We look forward to seeing Hall perform her strong yurchenko 1.5 this season.
