USA Men To Compete In Four More Meets In 2014

The Men’s Program Committee of USA Gymnastics has announced the final international competitive assignments for 2014. There will be four remaining competitions in which USAG will be sending gymnasts to compete. 
 
The DTB Pokal World Cup in Stuttgart, Germany will be held Nov. 28-30 and USA will be sending a team of five for the team challenge as well as an individual for the all-around competition. The team will be comprised of Bobby Baker, Marvin Kimble, C.J. Maestas, and Akash Modi. The team coaches are Justin Spring and Andrei Kan. Donnell Whittenburg will be competing in the all-around competition coached by Andriy Stepanchenko. Whittenburg competed at the 2014 World Championships where USA won bronze as a team and Whittenburg qualified to the individual all-around finals. See the full list of competitors for Stuttgart here.
 
The next competition will be the Mexican Cup in Acapulco, Mexico on Dec. 4-6. 2012 Olympian Danell Leyva will be competing, coached by his stepfather Yin Alvarez. Leyva competed at the 2014 World Championships where he placed second on parallel bars.
 
USA will also be represented at the Glasgow World Cup on Dec. 6. 2012 Olympian John Orozco will be competing all-around coached by Vitaly Marinitch. See the roster for this meet here.
 
The final competition of the year will be the Toyota Cup in Aichi, Japan on Dec. 13-14. 2013 World team member Brandon Wynn will be competing coached by Andriy Stepanchenko. Wynn competed at the 2014 Senior Pan American Championships where USA won gold as a team and Wynn won silver in the still rings final.
