British Gymnastics announced the competitors for the Glasgow World Cup on Dec. 6, 2014 and there is an impressive lineup of top gymnasts from around the world. There will be 16 gymnasts total and the final male gymnast will be announced at a later date.

 

Headlining the women’s field is World silver medalist Larisa Iordache of Romania. Iordache won the all-around medal last year and will be looking to defend her title. Six of the eight gymnasts competed at the 2012 Olympics and seven of the eight gymnasts competed at the 2014 World Championships. Rebecca Tunney of Great Britain is the only gymnast who did not compete at Worlds and it was due to an injury. 

 

The men’s field is just as strong as the women’s with multiple Olympians and World medalists. On the roster is Yusuke Tanaka of Japan who won bronze all-around at the 2014 World Championships. Olympic medalist Fabian Hambuechen of Germany, 2012 Olympian John Orozco from USA, and 2014 p-bars World Champion Oleg Verniaiev will also be competing.
