Romanian Delegation Change for the 2014 World Championships
Octavian Bellu and Mariana Bitang have announced that they are no longer the Olympic team coaches for the Romanian Women’s Gymnastics program and that they will not accompany the Romanian delegation to the World Championships in China, according to Agerpres

Bellu and Bitang resigned from Romanian Olympic Committee on May 30, after Bellu lost the elections for the Presidency of the Olympic team. Bellu declared that his decision was not out of anger, dispute, or offense to anyone, but simply a decision that was made by them. They will continue to supervise and give advice, but not from the position of coordinate coaches at this time. It is unknown to whether they will return to the Olympic committee in the future.

For the World Championships in China between October 3rd -12th, the women’s team are Larisa Iordache, Stefania Stanila, Andreea Munteanu, Ana Maria Ocolisan, Silvia Zarzu, Paula Tudorache and alternate Ioana Nicoara. Adrian Stoica, president of the Romanian Women’s Gymnastics Team, has confirmed that the technical staff traveling and leading the team will be Lacramioara Moldovan, Lucian Sandu, and Cristian Moldovan.
