Top 10 Favorite NCAA Bar Routines


Take a look at our favorite top 10 bar routines from this past NCAA season! Let us know whose routine was your favorite! 
 
The uneven bars is an event that takes great strength and risk taking. This event shows high flying release moves, transitions from high bar to low bar, and spectacular dismounts. These gymnasts show great talent, strength and execution that comes with years of practice. 


 
10. Samantha Peszek (UCLA)

Samantha Peszek is one of two gymnasts to score a perfect 10 on bars this year. Sam’s routine is a standard college bar routine, but done with amazing toe point and execution. Sam received All-American status for the first time in her career on bars this year and placed 12th at event finals. Watch Sam’s high class bar routine here. (gold)
 
 
9. Kristina Vaculik (Stanford)

Stanford junior Kristina Vaculik finished 3rd on bars during event final this year to earn All-American status. Kristina is a former Canadian Olympian who brings experience and high talent value to her routine. Kristina’s bar routine features two huge release moves including a very difficult and blind release to the high bar and a beautiful geinger. 8. Joanna Sampson (Michigan)

Senior Joanna Sampson was a fantastic bar worker and performer for Michigan. Joanna’s bar routine brings power through high and big release moves and her impressive dismount. Joanna impresses with a sky high tkachev and a high double layout dismount. She has great form and handstands throughout and caps off her routine with a great landing. Joanna finished the season ranked #13 in the country with a career high this year of 9.975. Watch Joanna's bar routine here. 
 
 
7. Alaina Johnson (Florida)

Senior Alaina Johnson is a four time All-American on bars earning her a spot in the event finals each year. Alaina is the 2013 National Bar Champion. When Alaina swings on bars, she makes her routine look effortless. She has a high flying toe on tkachev and beautiful stalder work with her routine. Alaina caps off her routine with a gorgeous double layout dismount, stuck almost every time! Watch her 9.975 bar routine! 
 
 
6. Sarie Morrison (LSU)

Senior Sarie Morrison is a great bar worker for the LSU Tigers where she anchored the bar lineup this year. Sarie set a new career high this year on bars of a 9.975. She received All-American status on bars in 2013. Sarie’s bar routine features great lines, handstands, clean release moves and great landings. Sarie is a great example of the fantastic work coach Jay Clark continues to do on bars. Her consistent and excellent bar work landed her ranked #4 on bars this year. Watch Sarie’s routine here
 
5. Mackenzie Caquatto (Florida)

Senior Mackenzie Caquatto is a three time All-American on bars. Mackenzie has earned one perfect 10 in her career on bars back in 2013. She finished 4th on bars at event finals this year. Mackenzie’s bar routine has a great shaposh to overshoot handstand combo. Her great form and fluid routine showcases great talent and difficulty. Mackenzie is a very consistent competitor who loves to shine and score big for the Gators. Watch her Mackenzie's bar routine here
 
4. Lindsey Cheek (Georgia)

Senior Lindsey Cheek had a stellar year on bars for the Georgia GymDogs. She finished the season ranked #2 on bars and scored a career high 9.975. Cheek had her best season on bars this year to earn herself her first All-American status on bars. She finished sixth during event finals. Cheek is a very fierce competitor as she showed throughout the entire season on bars by nailing her routine each week to help the GymDogs #1 bar ranking. Her bar routine has great difficulty including a huge tkachev and a sky high double layout that she is determined to stick every time! Watch her dynamic bar routine 
 
3. Georgia Dabritz (Utah)

Georgia Dabritz was the bar anchor for Utah this year with her consistent and fluid bar routine. Georgia is unique on bars as she does NOT wear grips on her hands. On bars Georgia shows great control with her handstands and execution within her beautiful routine. She has a great jaeger and beautiful full twisting double back dismount. Georgia was one of two gymnasts to score a perfect 10 on bars this year! Watch her beautiful bar routine.
 
 
2. Bridget Sloan (Florida)

Bridget Sloan was the 2014 National Bar Champion with a score of 9.9375. Bridget is a two time All-American on bars. Bridget’s bar routine brings elite level status and performance value throughout. Her bar routine has great difficulty and high level skills which she performs with great execution. Bridget has an aggressive style on bars with high release moves and great height on her dismount. 1. Chelsea Davis (Georgia)

Chelsea Davis was a huge reason why the Georgia GymDogs were ranked #1 on bars last season. Chelsea has been the bar anchor for two seasons with stellar performances and consistency. Davis is a two time All-American on bars (2012, 2013). This year Chelsea finished the season ranked #2 in the country on bars scoring a career high of 9.975. Chelsea’s routine brings difficulty, beautiful lines, great handstands and a near perfect landing every time!
