Incoming Freshmen: LSU
We will continue featuring this year’s NCAA incoming freshmen and today we look at the LSU Tigers. LSU had a standout season, broke multiple school records, and finished 3rd as a team at Nationals- their highest in school history. Below are the gymnasts joining the team for next year's season.

Who are you most excited to see compete? How will these girls fit into the LSU lineup? Tell us in the comments section below!

Erin Macadaeg

Erin is a former senior international elite from San Mateo Gymnastics. Erin competed elite last year where she finished tenth all-around at P&G Championships and seventh on beam. She returned to level 10 this spring and she concluded her strong season by winning beam and placing second all-around at JO Nationals. Watch her beam routine from JOs here. After season, she was invited to the June National Team Training Camp but did not attend.

LSU head coach D-D Breaux on Erin via LSU press release: “Erin has very strong Louisiana ties because she has a lot of family here, so we are happy that she can feel like she is coming home. She is an elite-level athlete, and we are just really excited about her consistency and her skill level. We feel like she will give us four great events.”

Jay Clark also praised Erin’s gymnastics, “Erin brings a very artistic style and quality combined with a good bit of power, and she’s a very clean gymnast. There aren’t any holes in her gymnastics.”

Myia Hambrick

Myia Hambrick is a level 10 gymnast from West Georgia Gymnastics where she is coached by her mother. Myia is a five time JO National qualifier and at 2013 JOs she placed 3rd all-around making the JO National Team. Myia is a powerful gymnast with big skills she executes with ease including a big piked full in on floor. Watch her floor routine from this year’s Texas Prime meet. While bars was considered her weakest event, is has improved greatly the past few years, according to LSU coach Jay Clark, and they see her as a potential all-around competitor. Watch Myia’s vault from Texas Prime here.

Breaux on Myia: “We are excited about Myia because her development has been so consistent, especially over the last two years, and she is getting tremendous coaching from her mother. She is such a powerful gymnast and a solid all-arounder who always leads this region and is a national qualifier every year.”

Kylie Moran

Kylie Moran from Tampa Bay Turners will also be joining LSU’s team this fall. Kylie had a successful career as a level 9 and finished ninth all-around at Easterns in 2012. She’s competed level 10 the past two seasons but only competes bars and beam.  Watch Moran’s beam from this year’s Classic Rock Invitational here. Bars is a strong event for her and she was training a giant full to geinger to immediate bail. Watch her training videos on YouTube here.

International elite and British National Team member Ruby Harrold has committed to LSU but her year of entry is unknown. She is not listed on LSU’s roster as a freshman for this year.
