Arkansas Hires Jamie Pisani as Assistant
Former standout gymnast Jaime Pisani has been hired as Arkansas new assistant coach. She previously served as the director of gymnastics operations for the Razorbacks. Jamie was a standout gymnast for Arkansas from 2009-2012.

“We are really excited to have Jaime join the program as an assistant coach after being the most decorated athlete in program history,” Cook said. “She has spent the last two seasons working as our director of operations and now to have her transition into a coaching role is awesome. We are really proud to have her join our staff.”

Pisani has spent the past two seasons in Fayetteville as the director of operations while receiving her master’s degree in sport management. Pisani oversaw the day-to-day activities in the office as well as served as the lead organizer of the Razorback gymnastics camps. In her new role, Pisani will be the primary floor coach for the Razorbacks as well as assist with recruiting and other administrative duties.

“I am honored and privileged for the opportunity to coach at my alma mater under Mark Cook and continue to build this team into a dominant force in collegiate gymnastics,” Pisani said. “I am very passionate about the success of this program and excited to be a part of the tradition and excellence at the University of Arkansas.”

During her time as a Razorback, Pisani collected a myriad of honors to go along with her 13 All-American accolades. During her senior season, Pisani became the first Southeastern Conference (SEC) Gymnast of the Year in program history and claimed the program’s second SEC title on the beam. She also collected 35 event titles during her senior season. Pisani helped lead Arkansas to two NCAA Super Six appearances and the program’s highest-ever national finish.

Pisani finished with four program-record scores—bars, beam, floor and all-around—that still stand to this day. She also collected 94 event titles during her career, more than any other gymnast to come through the program. Pisani shares her three program records—beam, floor and all-around—with former All-American teammate Katherine Grable who became the first NCAA champion in program history.
