Shea has counted her score for us on every event and every routine this season. This is a great honor for her and I am really glad and thankful for the other coaches in the league to recognize her.”

Grable has also been ranked as high as No. 1 in the nation this season and is currently the No. 3 gymnast in the country with a season RQS average of 39.610 on the season. Grable matched has also matched her career-best and school record mark in the all-around of 39.725 which she shares with former All-American teammate and 2012 SEC Gymnast of the Year Jaime Pisani

“I am super excited for Katherine to be recognized as the SEC Gymnast of the Year,” co-head coach Rene Lyst said. “I think she has proven herself this season week in and week out as being one of the best gymnast in the country.”
