All Around Champion Reagan Campbell of Texas Dreams on floor at the 2014 Texas Prime Meet

After three sessions of heated level 10 and elite competition at the 2014 Texas Prime Meet, Rachel Baumann of WOGA and Reagan Campbell of Texas Dreams earned the meet's two 2014 Nastia Liukin Cup qualification spots. The top gymnasts also qualified to tomorrow's Legendz Classic Finals where they will be placed on a team with one of four gymnastics legends. This year's "Legendz" are: Anna Li, Kristie Phillips, Brandy Johnson, and Mary Lou Retton. Gymnastike will be producing a LIVE stream of the event, beginning Saturday at 6:30pm CST. In the final session of the day, Texas Prime defending champion Reagan Campbell edged out teammate Kiana Winston by a quarter of a tenth (38.70-38.675) to return to the Nastia Liukin Cup. Campbell finished 5th all around at the national meet last year. Former National Team member Winston was competing in her first competition in nearly two years after multiple injuries. She proved she is back to full strength by winning gold in the all around, bars, beam, and floor for her age division. 

In session one, Lauren Li of WOGA posted the top all around score with a 38.20. Li also won beam (9.575) and floor (9.625). 


Junior all around Champion Rachel Baumann of WOGA on floor at the 2014 Texas Prime Meet

Rachel Baumann of WOGA Gymnastics posted the top level 10 junior all around score today during Kim Zmeskal's Texas Prime Meet in Irving, Texas and earned her place at the 2014 Nastia Liukin Cup. Baumann also won gold on bars (9.30), beam (9.575), and tied for first on vault (9.40) with teammate Erin Hutchison. 

Baumann is 13 years old and a first year level 10. She is the younger sister of U.S. Junior National Team member Alyssa Baumann. As a level 9 in 2013, Rachel won the Region 3 and Level 9 Western National All Around Titles.
