Fall is upon us and more NCAA verbal commitments are rolling in! Below are the most recent verbal commitments to the top 20 NCAA women's gymnastics programs. We will continue to update this page throughout the fall. To look back at the Summer commits, click here

UPDATE: 12/29: Junior elite Ashton Locklear (Class of 2016) has verballed to the #1 ranked University of Florida. Locklear trains at Everest Gymnastics in North Carolina alongside recent Georgia commit Emily Schild. She qualified to the 2013 P&G Championships. 

UPDATE: 12/8: After overhauling the coaching staff and losing a few key recruits, the University of Georgia has recently secured three big names. The first is Canadian National Team member Natalie Vaculik

Natlie is the younger sister of Canadian Olympian and current Stanford team member Kristina Vaculik. Kristina helped lead the Canadian women’s team to their historic fifth-place finish at the 2012 Games in London. Natalie also has dreams of representing Canada in the Olympic Games. Despite being a senior in high school, she plans to defer collegiate gymnastics for a couple years as she trains for Rio. Natalie finished 2nd all around at the 2013 Canadian Championships.



Georgia also picked up U.S. Junior elite Emily Schild (Class of 2017). Shild trains at Everest Gymnastics in North Carolina. In 2013, Schild competed level 10, qualified elite, and competed at the Secret Classic and P&G Championships. She earned bronze on vault at the Classic. 

Marissa Oakley (Class of 2017) has also committed to Georgia. Oakley is a level 10 from Phenom in Illinois and is already a 3-time J.O. Nationals qualifier. In 2013, she won the Region 5 All Around and bars titles and finished 5th all around at J.O. Nationals. 

Gracen Standley (Class of 2017) has committed to LSU. Standley is a level 10 from Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy. She finished 16th all around at 2013 J.O. Nationals.

Drew Watson (Class if 2017), a level 10 from Texas East Gymnastics, has committed to Auburn. Last season, she finished 5th all around at Regionals.

Emily Muhlenhaupt (Class of 2017) plans to compete for University of Utah. She competed the 2013 JO season as a first year level 10 and qualified to J.O. Nationals. Over the summer, she qualified as a junior elite and competed at the Secret U.S. Classic.



WOGA elite Samantha Ogden (Class of 2016) has committed to Denver. In her final year at the junior elite level, she finished 11th all around at the Secret U.S. Classic and 16th at P&G Championships. She recently placed 4th all around at the Massillia Open.

Adra Parks (Class of 2017) has chosen Arizona. Parks is a level 10 at Triad in Iowa. 2013 marked her first year as a Level 10. She finished 1st all around and 1st on bars at Regionals and advanced to J.O. Nationals. The Wildcats finished the 2013 season ranked 17th nationally. 

Arizona also earned a commitment from Courtney Cowles (Class of 2016). She is a level 10 at New England Gym Express in Connecticut. She placed 6th all around at 2013 Regionals. 

Nicole Rogalski (Class of 2016) has committed to Minnesota. She is a level 10 from 10.0 Gymnastics in Massachusetts. In 2013, she earned the Regional titles on bars and beam while placing 3rd all around. 

Ryan Stach (Class of 2016) will join Rogalski at Minnesota. Stach is a level 10 from Galaxy Gymnastics in New York. She is the 2013 Regional Champion on vault and floor. 

Nebraska has earned verbal commitments from two Chow's gymnasts. First was Sierra Hassel (Class of 2016). She was the 2012 J.O. NIT All Around, Bars, and Floor champion. Fellow level 10 Kynsee Roby (Class of 2017) will join her as a Husker. Roby is the reigning Regional Champion on beam and advanced to 2013 J.O. Nationals.  

Mary Jacobsen (Class of 2015) is headed to Oregon State. She is a level 10 from Emerald City Gymnastics in Washington and finished 2nd all around at 2013 Regionals while earning gold medals on bars and floor.

Brianna McCant (Class of 2016) has also committed to Oregon State. McCant is a level 10 from Metroplex in Texas. She placed 3rd all around at 2013 Regionals.


UPDATE 10/30: Nevin Adamski (Class of 2016) has committed to Ohio State. She is a two-time level 10 Regional qualifier from Ocean Tumblers in Virginia. The Buckeyes finished 18th nationally in 2013.



UPDATE 10/23:
2013 World Uneven Bars Finalist Ruby Harrold of Great Britain has announced her commitment to LSU! Harrold is fresh off representing Great Britain in the 2013 World Championships where she placed 7th on uneven bars and 17th all around. Harrold is known for her incredibly unique bar routine which can be seen here. The 17-year-old trains at The Academy in England.  

Harrold shared the news of her college choice via her instagram account, posting a picture of herself with recent LSU commit Lexie Priessman. It read, "I have decided that when I have finished competing for Great Britain and British Gymnastics I will join Louisiana University for my college years! So excited to be in a team with this beauty [Priessman] and to compete for LSU!!! #GeauxTigers"

Junior International Elite Megan Skaggs (Class of 2017) of the Gymnastics Academy of Atlanta has committed to #1 Florida. In 2013, she swept the Atlanta Crown Invite then competed elite. She placed 5th all around at the American Classic and competed at the Secret U.S. Classic and P&G Championships.

Kelsye Kurtiak (Class of 2017) has committed to Nebraska. She is a level 10 from AGA in Michigan. Kurtiak placed 5th all around at the 2013 Region 5 Championships. The Huskers had a great season last year, but finished with a disappointing #14 ranking. Expect to find them back in the top 10 next season.  

Minnesota has picked up Rachel Rowland (Class of 2014) of Colorado Gymnastics Institute. She was the 2013 Level 10 Colorado State All Around and uneven bars Champion. The Gophers qualified to the 2013 NCAA Championships and finished ranked 8th nationally.


UPDATE 10/18:
Lexie Priessman2012 U.S. Junior National Champion, has changed her verbal commitment from the University of Georgia to LSU. Priessman was recruited by former Georgia head coach Jay Clark, now in his second year as Associate Head Coach at LSU. Priessman is known for her high degree of difficulty and powerful tumbling. Priessman's routines include an Amanar  vault and full-twisting double back beam dismount. Priessman performed a variety of difficult tumbling passes through the years, including a full twisting double layout and tucked double-double. Priessman will defer college for one year so she can focus her efforts on training for the 2016 Olympics in Rio. She currently trains at Cincinnati Gymnastics with coaching great Mary Lee Tracy.

The LSU Gymnastics program is on the rise. They finished 5th nationally in 2013, a huge improvement from their #20 ranking in 2011. 





UPDATE 10/16: 
Ashley Smith (Class of 2017) has verbally committed to Auburn University. Smith is a level 10 at Sonshine Gymnastics in North Carolina and follows in the footsteps of club teammate Emma Engler (Class of 2015) who also plans to compete for Auburn. The Tigers ended the 2013 season ranked 13th. Smith finished 16th all around at 2013 J.O. Nationals. 




Tess McCracken (Class of 2016) of WOGA has selected Penn State. The Nittany Lions closed out the 2013 season ranked 15th nationally. McCracken is a level 10 and a 2012 J.O. National qualifier. In 2013, she finished 2nd all around and 1st on floor at the WOGA Classic. 


The University of Georgia picked up an other Canadian gymnast in Jordyn Pedersen (Class of 2015). She competes for Futures in Ontario and placed 3rd all around and 1st on beam at 2013 Gymnix. The Gym Dogs returned to the Super Six in 2013 and finished 6th nationally. 





Alexis Mattern (Class of 2014) has selected Ohio State. The Buckeyes finished 18th nationally in 2013. Mattern is a strong level 10 from ASAP Gymnastics in Pennsylvania known for her Cuervo vault and powerful tumbling. She finished 9th All Around at 2013 J.O. Nationals. 


Maggie O'Hara (Class of 2017) was the second high school freshman to verbally commit this year after Meredith Sylvia of Parkettes verballed to Auburn in July. At the beginning of the school year, O'Hara selected the University of Michigan which finished #7 in 2013. She is a level 10 at Southeastern in North Carolina, a gym known for producing strong NCAA gymnasts. In 2013, she finished 3rd all around at Regionals and 9th All Around at J.O. Nationals. 




UPDATE 10/15: Junior International Elite Ashley Foss (Class of 2017) of North Stars has announced her commitment to the University of Georgia for the 2018 gymnastics season. Foss is currently a high school freshman in New Jersey. Foss will be the fifth North Stars gymnast to compete for the Gym Dogs. The most recent North Stars Alum was All American and 2012 Team MVP Noel Couch


During the 2013 elite season, Foss finished 3rd all around and first on beam and floor at the American Classic. She also qualified to the U.S. Secret Classic and P&G Championships, but withdrew from day two of Championships with a knee injury.  Foss turns fifteen in November and will become a senior elite next season.


The University of Arkansas has been busy rounding out their Class of 2016. The Gymbacks finished 10th Nationally in 2013 and have three new high school sophomores lined up as future Gymbacks.  




Michaela Burton (Class of 2016) of Legacy Elite started things off by announcing her commitment to Arkansas in late September. Burton finished 6th all around at the 2012 J.O. Nationals. In 2013, she won the Illinois State Vault title and was the NIT All Around Champion. 


Next came Sarah Shaffer (Class of 2016) of Texas East Gymnastics, a great bar worker. Her 2013 level 10 season was cut short, but her highlight came from sweeping the Pikes Peak Cup. She was also the 2012 Region 3 Uneven Bars Champion for Level 10. 




Kirby Rathjen (Class of 2016) has also selected Arkansas. Rathjen is a level 10 who trains at Stars Houston in Texas and finished 19th All Around at 2012 J.O. Nationals. 


Finally, Arkansas picked up senior Kathleen York (Class of 2014) of Kurt Thomas Gymnastics. She placed 8th all around at the 2013 Texas State Meet. 


UCLA finished fourth last season and will add Rechelle Dennis (Class of 2014). Rechelle is a Level 10 from Gold Medal in Huntington, New York.  She finished 7th All Around at 2012 J.O. Nationals. In 2013, she was crowned New York State and Regional All Around Champion. She also won the Regional Floor title. 


Junior elite Melissa Reinstadtler (Class of 2016) of Rebound Gymnastics in New Jersey has announced her commitment to Utah. The Utes are always National contenders and finished 9th in 2013. After winning the 2013 J.O. National Floor title, Reinstadtler qualified to junior international elite and competed at both the Secret U.S. Classic and P&G Championships. 




Courtney Loper (Class of 2016) of Chow's Gymnastics and Dance has selected the University of Denver. DU finished the 2013 season ranked 20th. Loper should impact the team immediately as a strong all around gymnast. She finished 8th All Around and 5th on Beam at 2013 J.O. Nationals. 


Loper will be joined at Denver by Maddie Karr (Class of 2016), a strong level 10 from Twin City Twisters in Minnesota. In 2013, Karr won her state meet and claimed the All Around and Beam titles at the Regional Championships. She concluded her 2013 season on the J.O. National Team after finishing 4th all around at J.O. Nationals. Karr gained fame on Gymnastike during the 2013 season for her unique side aerial+onodi beam series. Watch here



2012 U.S. Olympic Alternate and 2013 World Team Alternate Elizabeth Price (Class of 2014) remains one of the top recruits in the Nation and may be headed to Stanford. Parkettes announced her acceptance to Stanford University in late September, though Price has not made a formal announcement of her commitment to their gymnastics team. 

Price finished 4th All Around at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials and won both the Glasgow and Stuttgart World Cups in December 2012. Hip injuries kept her out competition for most of the 2013 season, but she was named non-traveling alternate to the 2013 USA World team.
