Sanne Wevers of the Netherlands

The 2013 Grand Prix Osijek concluded on Sunday in Croatia with an exciting final day of competition.  Sanne Wevers of the Netherlands won the balance beam final with a score of 14.650. Wevers performed a variety of unique skills in her routine including a full twisting back handspring mount, double turn at horizontal and a switch leap to full twisting swing down.  Second place went to Jessica Lopez, two-time Olympian for Venezuela, with a score of 14.575. Lopez tied Wevers for the top beam score in qualifications. Krystyna Sankova of Ukraine placed third with a score of 14.175 .

of Venezuela took gold on floor exercise with a score of 13.775 opening her routine with a gorgeous triple twist. Krystyna Sankova of Ukraine placed second with a score of 13.650 followed by her teammate Angelina Kysla in third with a score of 13.525






Bence Talas, Fabian Leimlehner and Nicolas Cordoba

Bence Talas of Hungary won the gold on high bar with a score of 14.825 capping his routine off with a huge double twisting double layout. Fabian Leimlehner of Austria placed second with a score of 14.800 followed by Nicolas Cordoba of Argentina with a 14.650 who placed third.

2012 Olympic high bar champion Epke Zonderland dominated the field in qualifications but struggled during finals.  Zonderland thrilled the crowd with his high flying release moves but mistakes resulted in a dissapointing fourth place finish.






Jossimar Orlando Calvo Moreno, Axel Augis, Ferhat Arican


Jossimar Orlando Calvo Moreno of Columbia won the gold medal on parallel bars with a score of 15.625. Highlighting his routine was a full twisting double back dismount off the end of the parallel bars. Axel Augis of France placed second with a score of 15.525 followed by Ferhat Arican of Turkey in third with a 15.425. Epke Zonderland's troubles continued on parallel bars with a myriad of mistakes resulting in a last place finish.







Nguyen Ha Thanh of Vietnam scored a 15.012 to win the gold on vault with his extremely difficult yurchenko double pike. Pavel Bulauski of Belarus took the silver with a 14.762 while Hoang Cuong of Vietnam and Tomi Tuuha of Finland tied for third with a 14.550.
