The Romanian National Championships got off to a rough start as Diana Bulimar, 2012 Olympian, injured her knee during podium training. Bulimar's knee injury required emergency surgery takes her out of contention for the World Championships.

Veteran and two-time Olympic Champion, Sandra Izbasa is considering retirement following the upcoming World Championships. Izbaza's goal for the Romanian Championships was just to hit her routines and stay healthy heading into Antwerp.

Larisa Iordache watered down some of her difficulty during the competition but still managed to win the all around title by over a full point. Iordache is expected to be a huge factor in the upcoming World Championships.
