The gymnastics season may have slowed down, but gymnastics content in Gymnastike Gold is multiplying. We are excited to give you the scoop on some brand new offerings. Introducing: the 2013 Gymnastike Gold Summer Series -our extravagant premium release, which will give Gold subscribers a variety of live competition coverage as well as more of everyone's favorite gymnastics series, Beyond the Routine

6/21-23 - Anadia FIG World Challenge Cup
9/14-15 - Osijek FIG World Challenge Cup

Gymnastike has the exclusive U.S. rights to two exciting international elite competitions this summer, starting with the Anadia World Challenge Cup June 21-23, 2013. This is an official FIG World Challenge Cup where top athletes in the World compete for individual event titles.

The nominative entry list includes some huge names! The Romanian women are sending 2012 Olympic medalists Larisa Iordache and Diana Bulimar. As always, they will face tough competition from the Russians who are sending Olympic medalist Anastasia Grishina, first year senior Ekaterina Baturina, Alla Sosnitskaya, and Anna Rodionova. Two-time British Olympian Hannah Whelan will be looking for redemption after a tough British Championships, and we'll get the first look at British star and 2012 Olympian Rebecca Tunney who is back from injury. Also headlining the women's field are incredible 6-time Olympian Oksana Chusovitina representing Uzbekistan, up-and-coming Chinese gymnast Zeng Siqi, 2-time Olympian Jessica Lopez of Venezuela, and German Olympian Kim Bui

The men's side in Anadia is equally stacked. Expect to see 2012 U.S. Olympian and 2013 NCAA Champion Sam Mikualk, World Floor Champion Diegeo Hypolito of Brazil, Olympic Bronze Medalist and European Floor Champion Max Whitlock of Great Britain, Olympic Rings Champion Arthur Nabarrete Zanetti of Brazil, World Rings Champion Yan Mingyong of China, World medalist Alexander Shatilov of Israel, Brandon Wynn of USA, Eddie Penev of USA, Enrique Tomas Gonzalez Sepulveda of Chile and Matthias Fahrig of Germany.
 
Our live coverage will continue with the final international competition before the World Championships, the 2013 Osijek World Challenge Cup. This event is your opportunity to watch 2013 World team members make their final preparations for the World Championships. The nominative list has not yet been released for the event, though the meet is expected to draw top athletes as a European tune up before Worlds. 

Both competitions are part of the FIG World Cup Series. The format consists of individual qualification and event finals. 


Technique Videos



Learn from the best this summer. Gymnastike will continue to expand the Gold library of technical coaching and judging videos with new content every week. This includes gymnastics drill videos, conditioning exercises, insights from judges, and new additions to "Workout Insider" where you get an in-depth look at gymnastics workouts at top gyms around the country. 


More Beyond the Routine



Building on the community's great response to past "Beyond the Routine" features with Mary Lee Tracy and the CGA Elites, Miss Val and UCLA, and Jordyn Wieber and John Geddert, Gymnastike Gold will be rolling out some brand new BTR features this summer. 

First up will be 2013 USA World Team Contender Simone Biles of Bannon's Gymnastix. Biles has already made a huge splash in her first year as a senior elite, finishing second all around at the 2013 AT&T American Cup then winning an incredible five gold medals at the City of Jesolo Trophy (All Around, Team, Vault, Beam, and Floor). 

Next, we'll take you inside Chow's Gymnastics and Dance to get to know coach Liang Chow, the man behind our most recent Olympic All Around Champion, Gabby Douglas, and 2008 Olympic Beam Champion Shawn Johnson. You'll also get to meet Chow's much-anticipated next generation of elite stars. 

In case you didn't get enough of Jordyn Wieber in her BTR feature, we've got even more exclusive content coming your way. We'll be and giving you an unprecedented look at the home life of the World and Olympic Champion gymnast in our BTR extra, "At Home with the Wiebers". 

And finally, we'll take you into the home and personal life of 2012 U.S. Junior National Champion Lexie Priessman
