Roster for WOGA Classic Qualifying and Elite

The 2013 WOGA Classic is set to take place this weekend and Gymnastike will be providing a live stream of every elite session on Saturday, February 16th! Below are the gymnasts registered to compete this weekend in Dallas. 

There will be three total sessions of elite gymnastics: two optional elite qualifying sessions (8:30am and 12:30pm CST) and one impressive international elite session (6:30pm). 


WOGA's Katelyn Ohashi will headline the international elite field at this Saturday's WOGA Classic.

Meet the Gymnasts for the Premier International Elite Session (6:30pm CST)

SENIOR ELITES

Kennedy Baker - USA - Texas Dreams 

Finished 8th all around at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials in her first year as a senior elite. Baker trains at Texas Dreams under coaches Kim Zmeskal-Burdette and Chris Burdette. 

Lacy Dagen - USA - San Mateo

Lacy qualified elite in 2012 and advanced to the VISA Championships as a junior, finishing 16th all around and 7th on vault. She's also the 2012 America Classic vault Champion. Lacy makes the big jump to the senior elite division this year.


Peyton Ernst-USA-Texas Dreams


Peyton is a Senior international elite gymnast who trains at Texas Dreams Gymnastics under coaches Chris Burdette and Kim Zmeskal-Burdette. She placed first on beamat the 2012 American Classic and finished seventh All-Around at the 2012 Visa Championships. Peyton has verbally committed to compete for the University of Florida.


Ariana Guerra - USA - Texas Dreams


Guerra, former world champion cheerleader, finished in 6th place on vault at the 2012 Visa Championships and 7th All-Around at the 2012 Secret Classic.  Guerra trains with Chris Burdette and Kim Zmeskal -Burdette at Texas Dreams. She's known for her power, especially on floor and was training a full twisting double layout when we visited Texas Dreams in November. 

Madison Kocian - USA - WOGA

First year senior coming back from injury. Kocian qualified elite back in 2009 after winning the Level 9 Western All Around title. She finished 6th all around at her first Visa Championships in 2009 and was named to the U.S. Junior National team. She's competed internationally at Top Gym in 2009 (3rd all around) and the City of Jesolo Trophy in 2011 (2nd all around). She has not competed in the Visa Championships since finishing 5th all around in 2010 due to injury. She hopes to return to Championshipand reclaim her place on the National Team. 

Mariya Livchikova - Ukraine


Known for her beautiful lines and unique choreography. Finished sixth on floor at the 2012 European Championships and won the All-Around at the 2012 Brno Grand Prix. 


Abigail Milliet - USA- Denton Gymnastics Academy 



Milliet was the Junior All-Around Champion at the 2011 American Classic and finished 2nd All-Around at the 2012 American Classic in her first year as a Senior. 


Katelyn Ohashi -  USA - WOGA


One of the most anticipated first year seniors in the world! Ohashi burst onto the elite scene showing much promise as a young gymnast back in 2009. She moved from GAGE to WOGA after her first year elite and placed 2nd all around behind Kyla Ross at the 2010 Junior Visa Championships. In 2011, Ohashi dominated the junior division of the Visa Championships, winning the all around, bars, beam, and floor with incredibly difficult routines including a new piked full in dismount on beam. In fact, her all around scores in 2011 would have placed her 2nd behind Jordyn Wieber in the senior division. Ohashi battled injuries in 2012 and finished 5th at the Visa Championships. She's finally age-eligible for the senior division and will be in contention for the 2013 World Championships! 
 

Krystyna Sankova - Ukraine


Sankova returns to the WOGA Classic after taking the silver medal in the senior all around competition in 2012. She competed for Ukraine at the 2012 European Championships and finished 12th all around during qualifications.
 
Polina Shchennikova - USA - Tigar


Polina is a gorgeous gymnast who was recently added to the U.S. National team during a USA training camp. She especially shines on uneven bars and is very elegant and beam and floor. 


Sabrina Schwab - USA - WOGA


A gorgeous gymnast who has been out for years with injury. Sabrina moved to WOGA from Eagle's Wings and is working her way back into competition. She especially excels on bars and beam. 



JUNIOR ELITES

Irina Alexeeva - USA - WOGA

An exciting up-and-coming gymnast taking on the elite scene for the first time this year. She's Russian-born and moved to Texas to train under coach Valeri Liukin. She will be the youngest competitor in the meet and will not turn senior elite until 2018, making her eligible for the 2020 Olympics when she will be 18. She's exquisite on beam and won the 2012 Texas Level 10 State beam title with a 9.925!  


Alyssa Baumann - USA - WOGA

Turned elite and competed at her first and only Visa Championships in 2010 right after winning the level 9 Western National all around title. She's been at WOGA her entire career and trains under coaches Laurent Landi and Cecile Canqueteau-Landi. Baumann has not competed since finishing second in the all-around and first on floor exercise at the 2011 WOGA National Elite Qualifier. She is currently a freshman in high school and recently made a verbal commitment to the University of Florida. 

Jelle Beullens - Belgium
Tiny, powerful, and promising junior gymnast from Belgium

Brianna Clark - Canada - Gymnix
Artistic competitor returning from injury; Novice 2nd All-Around at the 2011 Canadian National Championships and 1st all around at the 2010 Open Massillia Cup.

Elissa Downie - Great Britain - Notts Gymnastics Academy
Younger sister of 2008 British Olympian Rebecca Downie; 2012 Youth National Champion on Vault

Laurie Hernandez - USA - MG Elite

Competed in her first Visa Championships in 2012 and showed great potential! Laurie is just 12 years old with a bright future ahead! 

Nica Hults

Charismatic elite competitor and standout beam worker. Won the beam title at the 2011 U.S. Classic and tied for 6th on the event at the 2012 Visa Championships, scoring an impressive 14.20 day one (5.60/8.60). She narrowly missed the U.S. Junior National team in 2012, finishing 9th all around at the Visa Championships. 

Rhyannon Jones - Great Britain - Park Wrekin 
5th on Beam at the 2012 British Championships Youth Division

Ivy Lu - Canada - Gymnix
Won the beam title at the November 2012 Combs-la-Ville International competition in France; 7th all around at the 2012 Jr. Pan Am Championships

Kristina Yaroshenko - Russia
Gorgeous Russian junior with lines like World Champion Viktoria Komova

Alexandra Yazydzhyan - Russia
2012 Dityatin Cup junior all around Champion; Trains at Moscow Dinamo under  former Russian team member Rashid Kasumov

These gymnasts are hoping to gain the optional all around scores needed to earn international elite status and qualify to the U.S. Classic and U.S. Championships.


Qualifying scores for juniors (ages 11-15) are: 
51.oo AA to qualify to Classics; 52.50 to qualify to U.S. Championships

Qualifying scores for seniors (ages 16+) are:
53.00 AA to qualify to Classics; 54.00 to qualify to U.S. Championships
