Sooner Home Opener: #11 Denver at #3 Oklahoma
Friday, Jan 18th - Norman, OK
This meet will not be as easy as it may appear for the Sooners. Denver is coming into Norman on a hot streak after scoring a huge 196.600 at home last Saturday, the fifth-highest score in the nation so far this season. OU won its first-ever meet in Athens against No. 11 Georgia to open their season, then easily topped Arizona State on the road with a 196.70.

Gymnastike intern Whitney Ewing will be covering all the action through competition videos, interviews, and a recap.

Lindenwood Makes History with 1st EVER Home Meet: SEMO at Lindenwood

Missouri at #3 Florida
Friday, January 18th - Gainesville, FL
Florida is coming off of an upset at LSU after newcomer and veteran Bridget Sloan and Marissa King both slipped off the beam in the final rotation.
Sophomore Kytra Hunter, the defending NCAA all-around and vault champion, is currently ranked #1 nationally in the all around.

Can Michigan Keep the Streak Alive? Illinois at #2 Michigan
Saturday, Jan 19 - Ann Arbor, MI
The #2 ranked University of Michigan women's gymnastics team looks to build off its best start in program history on Saturday when it hosts Big Ten rival Illinois. Junior Joanna Sampson was named Big Ten Women's Gymnast of the Week after winning the all around in the first two meets of the season.

First look at the NCAA Men at the Navy Open
Navy men's gymnastics will welcome #1 Penn State, #14 William & Mary, #12 Temple, SUNY Brockport and Springfield to this year's event.

Penn State was one of the few men's teams to open their season last weekend and head coach Randy Jepson called last week's season opener at Army "the best first meet he has seen in his 22 years". As result, the Nittany Lions moved up from a #4 preseason ranking to #1 for week 1. 2012 Olympian Felix Aronovich was named Big Ten Gymnast of the Week while Trevor Howard was named the conference's Freshman of the Week.

We should be in for an even better performance from the Nittany Lions this weekend and Marina Mazor will be there to capture it all.

TWU Quad Meet: #13 Arizona, #25 BYU, and Wisconsin-Whitewater at TWU
Saturday, Jan 19 - Denton, TX
The excitement and tension in the North Texas air is building as the TWU Pioneers of Denton, TX will host their first home meet of the 2013 season this Saturday in a quad-meet with #13 Arizona, #25 BYU, and Wisconsin-Whitewater.

The star of the show will likely be Arizona's Aubree Cristello who is a pleasant surprise in the national rankings, coming in at #3 in the all around!

BYU is coming off an impressive showing at the Cancun Classic where they upset then-ranked #9 Oregon State scoring 194.475.

The GymShark will be circling the arena this weekend bringing you videos and photos in what he calls a "fascinating blend of talent: two Division I schools, No. 13 Arizona and No. 25 BYU – one Division II school, host TWU who was second at the Division II championships – and one Division III school, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, the defending Division III co-champions."

Other big match ups on our radar:

#5 LSU at #6 Alabama
LSU is coming off a massive win at home, upsetting the #3 Florida Gators! This should be a close match up between the up-and-coming Tigers and the defending National Champions!

#20 Southern Utah, #22 West Virginia, #23 Oregon State at #15 Utah
The Utes are looking for redemption after a disappointing start to the 2013 season last weekend at UCLA. After counting falls, they totaled just a 195.300 to drop from #5 to 15th in the rankings.

Oregon State plummeted from their #9 preseason ranking after a dismal showing at the Cancun Classic. It will be interesting to see how both teams rebound in the always electric atmosphere in Utah's Hunstman Center

#24 Auburn at #8 Georgia
Auburn is likely one of the most underrated teams right now. They throw big gymnastics, but as Jeff Graba said after a frustrating loss to Kentucky last weekend, "Their youth is showing through". If Auburn stays on the equipment, this could be a close race in Athens. The Gym Dogs are coming off a 196.200-195.775 win at Arkansas last Friday, the first win for new head coach Danna Durante
