Douglas Nominated for "Moment of the Year"
Sixteen year old Olympic all-around champion Gabby Douglas has been nominated for “Moment of the Year” by “Sports Illustrated.” Douglas inspired millions with her individual performance at the 2012 Olympics and as part of the U.S team known as the “Fierce Five. Douglas became the first american gymnast to win to gold in both the individual all-around and team competition at the same Olympics. If Douglas wins, she will appear on the cover of the December 31,2012 issue of Sports Illustrated.
Voting opened on Dec. 6 and continues through Thursday, Dec. 13. To vote, go to http://on.si.com/10k3Y6M. Voting takes place entirely on SI’s Facebook page (www.Facebook.com/SportsIllustrated) where fans will rank their top 5 and then share their choice via Facebook and/or Twitter. On Twitter and Instagram SI will be posting updates and searching for user comments with the hashtag #SIFansChoice.
