University of Michigan Junior and 2012 US Olympian, Sam Mikulak, is recovering from a torn calf muscle. Mikulak was training for the upcoming NCAA season. Thankfully, the injury will not require surgery however, Mikulak is required to wear a cast for a month.
 
Mikulak turned down the opportunity to perform on the Olympic tour, so he could retain his NCAA eligibility. An NCAA champion in 2011 and runner-up in 2012, Mikulak will be sorely missed by teammates and fans if he is unable to compete this season.

Mikulak posted the following picture on Twitter. Nice to know he has a sense of humor about the situation.
