Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics Champions Kicks off on Saturday


The 11-day rehearsal period for the Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions wrapped up today in Ontario, Calif., with three final rehearsals. Now, the athletes will embark on the Kellogg’s Tour, which officially begins on Saturday September 8th in San Jose, Calif., the site of the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials.

The Tour will stop in 40 cities around the U.S. and run through November 18th.

Headlining the Tour will be the members of the Fierce Five 2012 U.S. Olympic Team, Gabby Douglas, Kyla Ross, McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman, and Jordyn Wieber. They'll be joined by fellow Olympic medalists including 2008 Olympic all-around champion Nastia Liukin, and 2008 Olympic silver medalists Jonathan Horton, Chellsie Memmel and Alicia Sacramone.

•     Anna Li – Aurora, Ill./Legacy Elite Gymnastics. 2012 U.S. Olympic and 2011 World Championships Team replacement athlete.

•     Nastia Liukin – Parker, Texas/WOGA Gymnastics. 2008 Olympic all-around champion; five-time Olympic and nine-time World medalist.

•     McKayla Maroney* – Long Beach, Calif./All Olympia. 2012 Olympic team gold and vault silver medalist; 2011 World vault and team gold medalist.


•     Chellsie Memmel – West Allis, Wis./M&M Gymnastics. 2008 Olympic team silver medalist; World gold medalist in all-around, team (twice), uneven bars.
